People on Twitter have never heard of U2 and are asking, 'What is a U2?'

People are confused as to how the band’s album got into their iClouds.

LAST WEEK, APPLE announced that it was teaming with U2 to release the band’s latest album for free to anyone with an iTunes library.

Technology, eh?

And that’s all well and good, except that there are many people who have never heard of U2. In fact, several people are asking the question, “What is a U2?”

You read correctly: a U2.

They aren’t the only ones who are confused.

The website WhoIsU2.com has been cataloguing tweets from bewildered iTunes users, who claim not to know who U2 are.

“I thought he said YouTube.”

Bless.
